A 100 años del Seminario San José de La Plata

Abstract

Una contundente reflexión sobre el Seminario, en su centenario de fundación. El padre, ex docente de la casa, nos pasea por el origen entusiasta en la formación de los primeros sacerdotes, hasta la importancia que tuvo el Concilio Vaticano II en la asunción de un nuevo seminario que apunte al sacerdocio que el Pueblo de Dios necesita. Por último, precisa los elementos que el seminarista necesitará para cultivar su formación en estos tiempos desafiantes: La necesidad de cercanía con Dios, el obispo, la comunidad sacerdotal y el Pueblo. Es fundamental la creatividad, la personalización, el autoconocimiento y el amor a la Iglesia en intimidad con Dios. Y "Por sobre todas las cosas un gran amor por las personas, porque el amor es el lenguaje que todo ser humano conoce perfectamente".

A forceful reflection on the Seminary, in its centenary of foundation. The father, a former teacher of the house, takes us through the enthusiastic origin in the formation of the first priests, up to the importance that the Second Vatican Council had in the assumption of a new seminary that aims at the priesthood that the People of God needs. Finally, he specifies the elements that the seminarian will need to cultivate his formation in these challenging times: The need for closeness with God, the bishop, the priestly community and the People. Creativity, personalization, self-knowledge and love for the Church in intimacy with God are fundamental. And "Above all, a great love for people, because love is the language that every human being knows perfectly well".
