América Latina en la Iniciativa de la Franja y la Ruta: una revisión de la literatura académica

Abstract

Mediante la presente monografía nos proponemos compilar el estado del arte sobre la relación de América Latina y China en el marco de la Iniciativa de la Franja y la Ruta. Es decir, nuestra intención es aportar un desarrollo y descripción de las principales voces en la academia sobre el tema con el fin último de mostrar cuáles son las reflexiones, de qué estilo y sobre cuál perspectiva se está pensando desde Latinoamérica la realidad internacional elegida. Para ello, individualizamos algunos textos especialmente de la región rioplatense y observamos que, en algunos casos, autores y autoras están reflexionando acerca de los marcos teóricos y conceptos a través de los cuales se puede leer el tema; mientras que otros se pronuncian respecto a los beneficios/oportunidades o riesgos que podría tener para nuestra región la inserción en la iniciativa china. Por último, encontramos también voces críticas respecto a la retórica latinoamericana en torno al proyecto chino y el impacto que esto podría tener.

Through this monography we aim to compile the state of the art on the relation between Latin America and China within the framework of the One Belt One Road Initiative. I.e., our intention is to provide a development and description of the main voices in academia on the subject, with the ultimate goal of showing what the thoughts are, what style and on what perspective the chosen international reality is being thought about from Latin America. To do this, we individualize some texts especially from the Rio de la Plata region and observe that, in some cases, authors are thinking about the theoretical framework and concepts through which the topic can de read; while others pronounce themselves regarding the benefits/opportunities or risks that insertion in the Chinese initiative could have for our region. Finally, we also find critical voices regarding the Latin American rhetoric around the Chinese project and the impact this could have.
