Perlas en un collar de cuentas de plomo

Abstract

Este artículo desarrolla algunas de las distintas formas en que los artistas representaron las festividades, tomando aquellas pinturas presentadas en los Salones Nacionales de Bellas Artes en sus primeras cincuenta ediciones. Entre ellos destaca la relación entre estas imágenes y la búsqueda de identidades nacionales y regionales y, también, con los problemas del arte moderno del período de entreguerras. Como parte de una mayor investigación, se propone un esquema provisional sobre el cual organizar las obras relevadas a través de los ejes sagrado/profano y público/privado.

This paper develops some of the different ways in which the artists represented the festivities, taking those paintings presented to the National Halls of Fine Arts in their first fifty editions. Among them, the relationship between these images and the search for national and regional identities stand out and, also, with the problems of modern art of the interwar period. As part of a major investigation, a provisional scheme is proposed on which to organize the works relieved through the sacred/profane and public/private axes.
