Este brote agudo se conoce también con los nombres de Poussée Leprosa, Fiebre Leprosa y Reacción Leprosa, y es una complicación que se observa más frecuentemente en los casos moderados y avanzados de la afee- ción, que en los leves.

The autor describes briefly the most frequent complication of leprosy: leprous reaction in its usual and partial forms and recidivations. He reviews its etiology, pathogeny, the clinical aspect of its lesions and its treatment. He studies 2 patients enduring leprous relapsing reaction, since that form, by its prolongation, its easiness in producing new localizations and by its repercussion on the general state, prepares the ground to intercurreñt diseases, which may be mortal. He also describes, in the study of the treatment, the favourable result obtained with the lacteo- protein in these 2 patients with leprous relapsing reaction, administering it, twice a week, by intramuscular injections and in progressive doses from 1 to 10 c.c. and ending the series from 150 to 200 or more c.c.
