Abstract

Este texto introduce el volumen "Mail Art, communication à distance, concept", editado por el Centre de recherche d’art contemporain (CEDIC) en francés e inglés, en París en 1971. En ese libro, Jean-Marc Poinsot presenta la obra de arte correo de medio centenar de artistas europeos, estadounidenses y japoneses. El trabajo que presentamos constituye una bibliografía de referencia para los estudios sobre arte postal y es citado en varias ocasiones en este volumen. La biblioteca del Centro de Arte Experimental Vigo (CAEV) conserva un ejemplar cuidadosamente forrado en papel cristal. Como resultado del proceso de lectura, Vigo dejó intercaladas entre sus páginas traducciones de distintos pasajes consignados por Poinsot sobre Robert Filliou, Joseph Beuys, Marcel Duchamp, Arman y Ray Johnson. This text introduces to the volume "Mail Art, communication á distance, concept", edited by the Centre de recherche d’art contemporain (CEDIC) in French and English in Paris in 1971. In that book, Jean-Marc Poinsot presents the work of mail art of fifty artists from Europe, America and Japan, including Daniel Buren, Christian Boltanski and Ben Vautier. The text we present constitutes a reference bibliography for studies on postal art and is cited several times in this volume. The CAEV’s library keeps a copy carefully covered in crystal paper. Among its pages, and as a result of the reading process, Vigo left interspersed, typed and handwritten translations of different passages consigned by Poinsot about Robert Filliou, Joseph Beuys, Marcel Duchamp, Arman and Ray Johnson.
